Valley Diabetes & Obesity awarded the “Small Business of the Year” for 2022 by Modesto Chamber of Commerce

To be considered for the Small Business of the Year Award - you must be a company with 25 or fewer on staff. The nominee must show innovation in business practice, have a superior customer service philosophy and must show overall growth as a company or service provider. They are representative of the small business community which is the backbone of our community’s economy.

This year's recipient is motivated to help the community live their healthiest. She opened the doors to her own practice in 2017 and is the only Diabetologist in both Stanislaus and San Joaquin Counties. Delivering the best Diabetes management care possible has been her passion.
Our awardee thinks out-of-the-box to customize treatment plans for her patients with empathy and by providing diabetes education, Diabetes support through support groups and a health coach, and by treating with the best diabetes medications and glucose monitoring devices on the market. Her innovative practices and care have helped patients who come all the way from Merced and Sonora.
She helped Stanislaus County setup a Diabetes Specialty clinic where one day a week she treats the uninsured and Medicaid community, while training providers and the residents of the Family Medicine Residency program at Doctor's Medical Center Hospital in Diabetes treatment, management and care. With these partnerships, she looks forward to building a healthier Modesto and a more vibrant community to live, work and play.
