The purpose of this event is to inform and engage high school students who are interested in a career in medicine as to the value and importance of returning to Stanislaus County upon completing their professional education. Dr G will be presenting to the high school students about prioritizing and managing their health.
Tackling Diabetes in Obesity

Learn about the various medications that are available for patients to reduce their weight, while effectively controlling their diabetes. Dr G will also discuss how diet, nutrition and a care coordination team can help patients better manage their Diabetes and Obesity diseases.

Valley Family Medicine Residency As a Diabetes specialist, Dr. Gopika Gangupantula, MD, CDE is a regular visiting speaker at the Valley Family Medicine Residency. She works closely with the Faculty of the Residency Program in educating the medical residents on advanced Diabetes care, complications and the latest treatments in the market.

Young at Heart STEPS Awards and Brunch Monday, 10/30/2017 from 9:00 am - 10:30 am CVMG sponsored walking program with Young at Heart! Walkers TRACK THEIR MILES walked over a 12 week period and earn rewards. The awards are given at this special brunch event, in which we celebrate the walkers' achievements and physicians give brief presentations. Dr. Gopika Gangupantula will have a presentation on diabetes work and research with a Q & A following. She will also provide take-home information for further education for attendees.
